Daddy's New Truck

Well, we finally did it - we got a bigger vehicle. We knew after the first trip to PA that the Vibe is not a long term solution to Matt+Lisa+Caden+Jackson+Java+Luggage+Baby Things+Dog supplies....so, here are the pictures of Dad's new ride! It's a 2009 Black Ford F150 Crew Cab...

Caden's First Camping Trip and a Pens Championship

This past weekend we went on an awesome camping trip at Fisherman's Island Near Charlevoix! We had so much fun camping with our friends and their kids - soon enough Caden will be running around with Jackson and Taylor!

The weekend started off very well by the Pens winning the Stanley Cup on Friday night - which we listened to via Satellite radio from Brian's truck. Caden sure picked a good year to join the world - he was welcomed by a Steelers Superbowl and a Pens Stanley Cup! We are setting high sports expectations for him!

Here's some pictures of our trip. Caden did very well considering being outdoors for two days! :-) No bug bites, no sunburns, and no major freak outs!

This doesn't have much to do with camping....but we took a pretty funny video of Caden in his jumparoo when we got home on Sunday. He's actually laughing now...which you can hear in the video.

2nd Trip to PA - Baptism Weekend!

This past weekend was another trip to PA! We had our cousin Bethany's wedding on Saturday and Caden's Baptism on Sunday! After the baptism, we went over to Grandma Callender's and had a party with family so everyone could see Caden!

Caden did really well during the baptism. He didn't cry, smiled a lot - but he did spit up on Pastor Alyce! Oh well!!


We took a lot of pictures at the Church after the service. This is the same church Matt and I were married in...and I think more pictures were taken at Caden's baptism than were taken at our wedding!! :-)



Here's some pictures from the party afterwards. Pat and Maggie surprised us and come up from Florida to go to the Baptism! Maggie was the flowergirl in our wedding 5 years ago!

5 Months Old and a Penn State Party!

On Caden's 5 Month Birthday, we threw a Penn State Baby Shower for our good friends Mike and Alysia - who are expecting at the beginning of July! It was a true Penn State tailgate with the tailgating games, lots of food, and Blue and White everywhere! The only thing missing was the football team!

Why is Caden's foot wet?

I picked Caden up out of his crib yesterday and realized his foot was wet!

Why is your foot wet? I asked Caden...

Did you pee on your foot? No.

Did the fish tank crib toy spring a leak? No.

Oh yeah! I forgot about his new trick! Check out the video...




He sucks on his fingers and toys a little bit less now - his feet are evidently much tastier.

SO hilarious....Caden is getting the hang of his Jumparoo...LOVES IT!

First Trip to PA!

Caden took his first trip to PA last week! We left last Wednesday morning, and came back to Midland this past Monday. The trip was fun, but Caden was a little under the weather with a low grade fever all weekend! That didn't stop us from taking lots of cute pictures!

We stopped by to see Uncle Karl on Thursday. Amy, Brady, Megan, Brady Jr, and Aunt Pache were there too and all met Caden for the first time. Here are the pictures!

Caden isn't quite as big as his 8 month old cousin, Brady Jr, but he is getting there!

After visiting Uncle Karl, we had to stop by Primanti Brothers and have a sandwich! Here's Caden with his first Primanti sandwich!! Who needs strained peas!! :-)


Saturday was a very busy day! We drove up to Erie for Jennifer's graduation from PSU Behrend! Before going to graduation, we went to see my close friends from college, Jen and Arin! The three of us now have 4 kids between us, so we got pictures with all of our babies!

It was like herding cats to get them all in this picture...From L to R - Eli, Austen, Naomi, and Caden

Jennifer's graduation was fun! Caden didn't see most of it because he was busy crying in the car with Mommy. :-) We did at least get to see Jen and DJ officially graduate. Congrats Jen and DJ!!

After graduation our whole family went to dinner with DJ's family at Molly Brannigan's - an Irish Pub. Here's some shots from the graduation dinner!

Matt missed all of the graduation fun because he attended our friends wedding in Philly on Saturday. Congratulations John and Gia!!!

It was a very fun weekend and we get to do it again the first weekend in June - Baptism!! More pictures to come!!

Four Months Old!

Here is the Four month tigger picture! The three month picture is first to show how big Caden is getting! He weighed in at the doctor's last week at a little over 16 pounds. This week is his four month doctor's appointment where he gets more shots. We aren't looking forward to that. However, we are looking forward to the doctor telling us that we can start solid foods! I'm sure we will be posting some hilarious pictures of that soon.

His rainforest bouncer is quickly becoming his new favorite toy. His toes barely touch the ground, but they touch just enough that he can bounce!

That's How I Roll!

Caden has learned to roll over! For the past few weeks we helped him along by putting him on his side and letting him flop to his back. He couldn't quite figure out how to get up on his side from his belly! Well, last Tuesday he finally figured it out! Here's the video of his first roll. (maybe it was his third - I had to run and find the camera.)

We are going to try and take a few more this weekend! Caden also turned four months this week - a tigger picture is on the way! :-)
