Trip To PA - July 2010

The weekend of July 8th we went back to PA for my 30th Birthday/6th Anniversary Surprise. Matt surprised me with tickets to the Dave Matthews Concert on Saturday at PNC Park. The concert was GREAT! The rule follower I am, I left the camera in the car, which is why we don't have any shots. However, the other 30,000 people in the concert had a camera, and I'm sure they have lots of pictures to share that I don't...guess that teaches me a lesson. :-)

We arrived on Friday and Caden wasn't feeling very well - a combo of two molars coming in and a sinus bug. But, he was a trooper and did ok for Grandma on Saturday while Matt and I were out around Pittsburgh. (Maybe that's because we were up ALL NIGHT on Friday night with him). :-)

Overall, it was an awesome weekend, and Caden recovered nicely. Here's some pictures!

We went through the kid's zoo, which was fun, but Caden wanted to be held the whole time. Matt had fun taking him through the rope bridge!

Camping At Higgins Lake!

We went camping this weekend at Higgins Lake! We had a great time, and Caden did very well! He loved running around the campsite, shoveling dirt (once dumping the whole bucket on his head), and playing on the playground. :-)

Playdate at Caden's House

We had a monthly playdate yesterday, and it was a beautiful day for it! We grilled and played outside and the kids got to check out Caden's new playhouse!

We have a wide range of ages in our playdates now - from 3 years old to two weeks!

Our most recent additions are Marvin (left - one month) and Carter (Right - 2 weeks)




The playroom got pretty full....so we headed outside!

Summer Fun

Here's some pictures of the summer fun Caden has been having.

Matt and I bought him a pool, and then quickly realized it is probably too small for him already. But, he has fun in it, so it will probably last the summer. :-)

A Day with Mommy!

Matt was out of town this weekend, so Caden and I went to Breakfast downtown, and then to Dow Gardens! He played in the sandbox, (which he loved, so I'm thinking that we are going shopping after his nap). He also splashed around in the stream, but there's no pictures of that, I was just trying to make sure he didn't get soaked, or fall in headfirst. :-) We had a great day!

Matt went to the Red Wings game tonight so Caden and I went to Dow Gardens to play in the tulips!

April Playdate at Maddie's House

We visited Maddie's house for the April Playdate...and we welcomed our newest members...Ginny....and ....Ginny! Yes, there are two adorable little girls named Ginny. :-)

Buford and Mindy's Prom

Caden isn't in any of these pictures....why? Because we hired our FIRST babysitter and went out to party! It went really well. Our babysitter, Maddie, is 13 and she did a wonderful job with Caden! He didn't even notice we were gone and went to sleep for her just fine!

So...while he was sleeping...Mom and Dad were reliving thier high school days at PROM! That's right, our going away party for Mindy and Buford was turned into a Prom. Complete with trellis pictures, a DJ, Prom King and Queen and lots of fun. Here are some pictures.

In case you were wondering, yes, that is my H. S. Prom dress. I should scan in Matt and my prom picture from 1998....we look a little different now! :-)

Visit with Jen and Arin in Erie

Before we headed down south to see the grandparents, we visited Jen and Arin in Erie! Caden had lots of fun catching up with his buddies - Austen, Eli and Naomi. The kids are all getting so big!

Trip to PA

Caden went back to PA for the first time since Christmas! It's hard to believe it's been that long! We had a great time and the weather was beautiful! Matt stayed in Erie for a hockey tournament and Caden and I drove the rest of the way home to see the Grandparents. Matt's team ended up winning the championship.

While Dad was playing hockey, Caden was playing outside in the yard. Here's a few pictures from our trip!
