Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Matt and I took Caden to the Pumpkin Patch today. He had a blast, here are some pictures...

In the sandbox that was full of corn! Caden was sinking down into the corn, and almost lost a shoe. :-)

Caden had a really fun time feeding the goats. We had to keep an eye on him - because he wanted to eat the goat food.

BalloonFest and PSU Pictures

We went to BalloonFest tonight in Midland, and Caden had so much fun!!

We first stopped at the Midland Fairgrounds and saw a few balloons land there. The first one we saw land was in PSU colors - blue and white!






Some of the balloons didn't quite make it to the fairgrounds - they were landing in a park nearby. So, Caden and I went over there to watch, and it was worth it! We got to see the balloons up close and many landed right in front of us!





Caden was amazed by the fire they used in the balloon!

LONG weekend!

We had a great long weekend for the Labor Day holiday. Here's some pictures of the fun we had around the house with Caden this weekend.

We did a lot of cleaning - and Caden learned that the vacuum cleaner is a pretty fun toy. Here he is helping me vacuum his playroom.




I was organizing all of his clothes one afternoon and he spent a half hour reading his books in his room.

This first video was taken today when Caden was obviously ready for his nap. When he is tired and ready for bed - he lets us know!



Caden finally learned that he has some independence...and has started saying NO very emphatically when he doesn't want to do something. Here's an example..

Matt bought Caden new shoes this weekend. He loves them - and he loves helping us put on our shoes as well...

We have awesome Splash parks here in Midland and Caden LOVES them! We head to Pizza Sam's for dinner, and then down to the park to enjoy the warm evening weather. Here's some classic pics from last night's visit!

Caden's BIG Announcement

Dear Family and Friends,

Here's a hint - read my shirt...




That's right! I'm going to be a BIG BROTHER around March 14th!! I have been on my best behavior for 1 year, 8 months and 12 days and I have finally fooled Mom and Dad into having another one of ME!

I can't wait for all the fun things my brother or sister and I are going to do together...and it will be harder for mom and dad to catch us now that there are TWO of us!

One more and we will OUTNUMBER them! Shhh - don't tell them my master plan.

I only have to wait 31 more weeks.....that's a LONG time. I told mom to HURRY UP!

Trip To PA - July 2010

The weekend of July 8th we went back to PA for my 30th Birthday/6th Anniversary Surprise. Matt surprised me with tickets to the Dave Matthews Concert on Saturday at PNC Park. The concert was GREAT! The rule follower I am, I left the camera in the car, which is why we don't have any shots. However, the other 30,000 people in the concert had a camera, and I'm sure they have lots of pictures to share that I don't...guess that teaches me a lesson. :-)

We arrived on Friday and Caden wasn't feeling very well - a combo of two molars coming in and a sinus bug. But, he was a trooper and did ok for Grandma on Saturday while Matt and I were out around Pittsburgh. (Maybe that's because we were up ALL NIGHT on Friday night with him). :-)

Overall, it was an awesome weekend, and Caden recovered nicely. Here's some pictures!

We went through the kid's zoo, which was fun, but Caden wanted to be held the whole time. Matt had fun taking him through the rope bridge!

Camping At Higgins Lake!

We went camping this weekend at Higgins Lake! We had a great time, and Caden did very well! He loved running around the campsite, shoveling dirt (once dumping the whole bucket on his head), and playing on the playground. :-)

Playdate at Caden's House

We had a monthly playdate yesterday, and it was a beautiful day for it! We grilled and played outside and the kids got to check out Caden's new playhouse!

We have a wide range of ages in our playdates now - from 3 years old to two weeks!

Our most recent additions are Marvin (left - one month) and Carter (Right - 2 weeks)




The playroom got pretty full....so we headed outside!

Summer Fun

Here's some pictures of the summer fun Caden has been having.

Matt and I bought him a pool, and then quickly realized it is probably too small for him already. But, he has fun in it, so it will probably last the summer. :-)
