Caden Learns to Crawl

Caden has learned to crawl! After many attempts over the last couple weeks, he finally made it "somewhere" on Tuesday night. I had to bribe him with the remote control, but it worked! Here's a video of one of his first attempts.

Grandma and Grandpa Frank Visit

Matt and I went to Nick and Lynn's wedding in Minneapolis last weekend, so Grandma and Grandpa Frank visited for a week to watch Caden! We had a great time, but missed our little guy who seems to get bigger by the day! He is Nine Months now - hard to believe! We will get a tigger picture out there soon!

This Friday was a big day too - Caden's first two teeth popped through! He has his bottom two front teeth - it's going to look so cute when they really come in! Right now you can just see the top edges, so it's hard to get a picture. I'll try to get one soon!

Babies, Babies, Everywhere!

Many of our friends have had kids in the last couple years...so we have decided to start rotating playdates and swapsitting so the kids can play together! Here's pictures from our first playdate today at Amy and Steve's house! They did a great job hosting all of the kiddos and it was super fun!

WE ARE.....PENN STATE!

Caden saw his second Penn State game today and the first game of the 2009 season. When he watched the Rose Bowl he was only 2 days old and slept through the whole thing (which was probably a good thing considering we lost so badly). We did much better today and Caden had a good time watching them win for the first time. Caden's friends Madeline and Talia came over for the game too! Here's some pictures!

8 Month Update!

We have a lot of pictures and videos to share! Caden turned 8 months old and is growing fast! He is now 21 Pounds!! We are in the market for a big boy carseat since our infant carrier is only rated to 22 pounds. Here's his latest Tigger picture...Tigger gets smaller and smaller every month. :-)



Caden is also exploring many different foods! So far he has tried Peas, Green Beans, Avacados, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, Squash, Corn and his first fruit - applesauce! He hasn't tasted anything he doesn't like yet - and he has quite the appetite. For dinner he will eat two jars of baby food and Oatmeal as well! He is sleeping pretty well right now, he usually is sleeping by 8pm and sleeps until 6am or so. Sometimes he gets up in the middle of the night, but usually we just have to snuggle his blanket closer to him, turn on his fishtank crib toy and we go back to bed - he puts himself back to sleep (most times). :-)

Here is a fun picture of Caden in the bathtub. No more baby bathtub - he's too big for it! Caden sits up unsupported now, so he's in the big tub. He loves splashing around in the water and getting sprayed with the showerhead. We start baby swim class in October, so that will be a lot of fun!

Here's a video of Caden playing with Jackson. They are good buddies, and Jackson doesn't mind when Caden pulls on his fur, ears, mouth, etc. :-)


Here's a video of Caden playing with his new toy I got last week! He likes it a lot, as you will see! I was planning on saving it to Christmas....but oh well!

Our final video will show you how Caden moves around these days. A week ago I put him in the playroom and a minute later he was on the other side of the room. Uh oh! Time to babyproof!!

Caden Cam

We had some really cute videos taken last weekend. First, a couple from home....the first is Caden playing in the playroom and showing off how much he talks now. The second was taken while we were having dinner on the patio.






Last Saturday we went over to Brian and Stacies for a very fun day with the kids. Caden went swimming for the first time in Taylor's kiddie pool! Here are some pictures......






This last video was taken later that night while Taylor was showing Caden how to crawl...

August Update!

Posting is obviously slowing down...sorry about that. :-) Work and afterschool activities seem to be taking over! :-)

Caden just turned SEVEN months old. We can't believe it. So, here is our Tigger picture of the month! He is much more active, so getting him to lay down flat is quite challenging.

We also had some parties to go to this month! Here are some pictures from the Buzz Softball Party. Penelope and Caden were hanging out together in the front yard. In the first picture P is obviously trying to get Caden's attention! :-)

Here's the whole gang....we celebrated D's 30th Birthday at the same time...and all had shirts. Classic!

And some pictures from Sam's First Birthday! Here are Sam and Caden chewing on juice boxes plus a pic of the family - Rick, Deanna, Alana, and Sam!

We also had a visit from Grandma Callender! She came to visit for a week and watch Caden for the weekend while Mom and Dad went to the Dave Matthews Concert in Indianapolis! The trip was fun, but we missed Caden a lot and were happy to get back home. (Although I will say it was fantastic to sleep from 11 PM to 10 AM for the first time in a LOOONG time)

We are also exploring many new foods this month. We are attempting to make our own baby food. (How hard can Puree, put in ice cube trays, and freeze... be?). The first food we "made" was Avacados. Caden had to get used to the salty taste, but liked them! We have also tried Green Beans and Peas....onto the Orange Veggies next! :-)

Playtime!

Grandma Frank and Aunt Jen are in town...that means a lot of playtime! We took this first video today when we were looking outside with Caden. He started to do the strangest thing - and it was hilarious. What do you think he is doing?
