Caden's First Christmas!

Caden had a wonderful First Christmas! We traveled home to PA to visit with family and friends and stayed for the long weekend.

Caden was sometimes more interested in the tags, paper and boxes, but we think he liked his gifts too.

He got new PSU outfits!!

Cadens first Tricycle! He can't reach the pedals, but he loved it when we pushed him around on the trike! He'll be riding on it sooner than we know it!
Visiting with Erin, Amy, Brady Paul, Megan and Cameron!
Caden meets the Gasperini's for the first time! It was so nice to see them!

Opening presents with Grandpa!

He had so much fun, he fell asleep on the couch....Life is good. :-)

There's more pictures to come!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

We had a fun filled Christmas week! Caden started off the week inviting all of his friends over to his house for our December playdate! The kids made ornaments, exchanged gifts and played with every toy in the house...here are some pictures!!

The Playroom was packed full!

A picture of Caden and Penelope. They took the same picture about a year ago when Caden was one day old, and they both fit in Caden's hospital bassinette! They are a little bigger now!

The whole gang!

On Tuesday, we went to the Santa House in Midland where Caden met Santa for the first time! He didn't cry at all - he was more stunned and wouldn't stop looking around at all the bright lights and toys. He had a very serious expression on his face the whole time. :-)

Merry Christmas!!

Our little swimmer...

Caden has Swim class every Wednesday, and we finally remembered the camera this week! Here are a couple videos of our little swimmer. He loves the water, and really started to jump/fall into the pool this week. He is also kicking his legs more when we go down the length of the pool. It's always a great time!

Here's some of our first Christmas pictures with Caden playing in front of the tree....and the eleven month Tigger picture! We can't believe he is almost a year old!

You might be able to see the box for mommy and daddy's Christmas present in the background.... :-)

Monthly Playdate!

We had our monthly playdate with all of our friends and our kiddos yesterday. It was a blast - as always. We had some great picture opportunities as well - enjoy!

From Left to Right: June, Caden, Taylor, Talia, Marigold, and Aidan

Woah! Aren't you guys a little young for that?

Talia had too much fun - she was sleeping by the end of the night.

Caden's First Thanksgiving

Caden had a very fun First Thanksgiving! The weekend before the big day, Grandma and Grandpa Frank and Grandma Callender came to visit. We all celebrated Thanksgiving together on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Here's some pictures! Caden was so excited to see them again - and can't wait to see them again at Christmas!

All of the turkey leftovers the whole week caused us to have a non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner - Salmon! Matt did a great job cooking!

After dinner we went to Wendy and Dale's for Thanksgiving. Here's a family Thanksgiving picture!

Christi and Caden got a picture together as well. He's a lot bigger than the picture they took together in the hospital almost a year ago!

Caden and Dan!
We also decorated the Christmas tree during Thanksgiving weekend!
Where did my pants go???

Caden also went to another one of daddy's hockey games! He doesn't usually go, since they start way past his bedtime. But, last week Matt's game was at 6:30, so Caden was able to go! The first picture is from the first game he went to when he was 2 weeks old. What a difference 11 months makes! :-)
That's the monthly update! Hope you all are enjoying the Holiday season!!

Ten Month Catch Up!

It's been a while since we posted, and Caden has been busy! It's Fall in Midland and we know it at our house because we have SO many leaves. Of course, that makes for great pictures of the little man in a leaf pile!

Here's a picture of all of us from Wilmer and Sonya's wedding on October 17th! It was the first occasion where Caden got really dressed up - and he did great! He stayed up WAY past his bedtime that night (9pm!) and as a result slept until 10 am the next day! We had a great time at thier wedding - congratulations Wilmer and Sonya!

The next day we decided to go to Grandma's Pumpkin Patch with Mike, Alysia, and Talia and Mindy, Buford and Penelope! Caden picked out his pumpkins and we got to take a bunch of fun pictures. Caden was sitting up pretty well by himself at this point, so he even balanced on top of a pumpkin.

The Daddies with thier kiddos...

Look how tall I am!

We went home to PA for a quick weekend trip and Caden had fun hanging out with Jen and DJ. We went to the Steelers Store and tried on some crazy hats and then made the trip to Primanti's for a sammich! :-)

Happy Halloween! For Halloween this year, Caden was Eeyore! We went to Dale and Wendy's house for a pumpkin carving party (We made a Steelers Pumpkin), and then to Mike and Alysia's for a Halloween Party. We got some great pictures of the kiddos in thier costumes!
Taylor, Caden and Penelope
Caden, Alana, Penelope, Marigold, and Sam!
By the way ....look who is standing! Matt had to lower the crib because he stands up in his crib every day now! Caden doesn't roll anymore - he crawls everywhere and is getting better every day at the balancing act of pulling himself up and standing...It won't be long now...time to babyproof!

Caden's First Steelers Game

On Sunday, Caden went to his first Steelers Game! We traveled down to Ford Field with a bunch of our friends to watch the Steelers play the Lions. We won, as expected, but it was closer than we thought it would be! :-)

We tailgated before the game in the Eastern Market section north of Ford Field. It was about a half mile walk into the Stadium, and a little windy, but once we were inside it was very comfortable. Caden's a pretty tough kid, but I was glad to get him out of the 50F and windy weather.

Ford field was very nice inside, and we had a great time up in the nosebleed section. Despite being 3rd row from the top, we could see the field pretty well, as you will see in the pictures below.

Here's Caden waving his Terrible Towel before we leave on Sunday morning! GO STEELERS!!

Matt came from Milwaukee, and Brian, Brad, and Justin came up from Pittsburgh!

Caden and Talia were dressed in their best Steelers outfits!

Rod and Ryan came to visit from Ohio!

Family picture at the tailgate!

Caden slept through most of the 2nd quarter, but he was awake again by halftime...

Here are some shots after the game was over!
