Three Months Old!

Caden is three months old today!! We can't believe it! Today was also his first day of daycare! He had a great day - he was awake and happy for a good part of the day. He napped less than normal because he was making friends with all of the other kids. They are all very fascinated with him since he is the youngest kid by about a year!

Today was also my first full day back at work. It went pretty well - I only stopped to see Caden once over lunch when Matt and I went back to drop something off. He was having fun in the swing and didn't seem to mind when we left again! :-)

It's also time for another Tigger picture! They go in order...1 month...2 months....and 3 months!

Visit from Grandma Callender

Grandma Callender came to visit during Lisa's second week back to work. She helped us watch Caden in the mornings so he didn't have to go to daycare quite yet. Here are some pictures from her fun visit!

We had to visit Dow Gardens again to see the new butterflies that have hatched! We even got one to land on Caden's head!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We had a lot of fun on Caden's first St. Patty's Day! Here are some pictures we took of Caden in his cute outfit. He is smiling and laughing so much more now - he is so much fun and has quite the personality!

A Visit From Aunt Pat!

Aunt Pat came all the way from Florida to visit Caden! We had a great time this week while she was here! Here is a picture from Monday when we went to the Butterfly exhibit at Dow Gardens. (Yes, this is the third time in a week, but more keep hatching!!) :-) Caden was of course sleeping through most of it, but we did get a couple pictures with his eyes open.

This past weekend we also went to a Saginaw Spirit hockey game. Caden had a great time and was very entertained by all of the bright lights!

Lots of Updates!

It has been awhile since we posted! A lot has happened and here are all the fun pictures!!

Matt was on a ski trip from Feb. 28th to March 8th in Utah. (Which left me without a camera for 9 days - part of the reason I haven't posted in awhile.) He had a great time, but missed Caden, and is happy to be back home.

While Matt was gone, my mom came up and helped me take care of Caden. She is staying until March 21st since I go back to work March 16th. We went to Dow Gardens on the one nice day the first week mom was here.



Jennifer and DJ also came up to visit this week as it was their Spring Break at PSU. (What a spring break trip - Midland, MI!) We did find some fun things to do, including going to the butterfly exhibit at Dow Gardens. Here are some pictures:

Caden woke up as we were leaving, so we got a quick picture of him holding the Dow Gardens Pass:


Caden is smiling a lot more now and is starting to laugh. Here is our best video of Caden talking with mom and I. You can probably hear Jackson and Java in the background trying to get in on the fun.

He also has a new trick...he will repeat "OHHHH" if you do it first - here's a video of us playing with Caden. Watch for the surprise at the end! :-)

Caden has also passed through the two month mark! With this came his first shots (a very unpleasant experience for him, but he did fine). Also, another tigger picture! The first one is the one we took at one month old and the second one is the two month picture!

Here are some more pictures of Caden with Jennifer and DJ. He also likes his bumbo seat. It's still a little big for him, but it is helping him with his head control! It's a lot of work to hold up that 90th percentile head!! :-)

Mr Sneezy

Caden makes the most adorable sound when he can't get a sneeze out. We have been trying to capture it on film, and we finally succeeded. Hope you find it as funny as we do! You might have to turn your volume up.

Daddy's Birthday Party - Lebowskifest

We threw a 30th Birthday party for Matt on Friday, the 20th. The party was themed after our favorite movie, "The Big Lebowski". Essentially about a dude, his rug, a ransomed trophy wife, and lots of bowling. Everyone dressed up as a character in the movie, and the result was a very memorable celebration for Matt's 30th.

We are lucky enough to have the most outstanding group of friends in the world. They planned the whole party, so Matt was surprised by alot of it, and I hardly had to lift a finger to prepare! They made the food, organized who was bringing what, helped us set up, and helped us clean up after wards! Our good friends, Nick and Lynn, even made the trip from Minneapolis to surprise us by showing up at our door on Friday afternoon!! To top it off, they all went together and bought Matt an Wii for his birthday! So THANK YOU to our amazing wonderful friends, who we are so lucky to have and without whom life would not be as fun - Scotty, Heather, Joel, Shawn, Bek, Alysia, Mike, Nick, Lynn, Terri, Bob, Brian, Stacie, Lindsay, Dave, Brent, Chris, Demetrius, Bonnie, Erin, Tim, Michelle, Dan, Rick, Deanna, Kate, Mike, Mindy, Buford, Fred, Amy, Steve, Wendy, Dale, and Tammy. You guys are the absolute best.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today was Matt's 30th Birthday! We celebrated by going out with friends to Damon's. Matt got an ipod from Caden and Mommy for his birthday. :-)

Funny Pictures

It's been almost a week since we have posted, so I thought I would put up some fun pictures from this week.

Here's a picture from this past Saturday - Matt found this outfit in his closet and realized that:
1. It was super cute and
2. He will likely grow out of it in 2.5 days.

So, that's what he wore on Saturday.




This picture is also from last Saturday. Matt played in a Snow Softball tournament and when he got home, he gave Caden his bottle while Lisa took a nap. Looks like a rough night - both of them passed out and Caden isn't wearing pants! :-)



Here's a picture of Jackson keeping watch while Caden has a little tummy time. Caden HATES tummy time - but we have gotten him to go for almost 30 minutes straight before he throws a fit.

Growing Boy!

Every month we are going to start taking a picture of Caden with his Tigger, which he got from Aunt Pat the day he was born. The first picture was taken about 2 hours after he was born and the second was taken today.

Caden was 8 lb 4 oz when he was born, 7 lb 11oz when he came home, and at his one month checkup he was 10 lb 6 oz, which puts him in the 75th percentile. His head is another story, which is in the 90th percentile....once again taking after his dad!
